  • Breakfast: I try every place once. Will never go again. Never got menus from the host/hostess. Had three different waiters/waitresses. Got the complete wrong breakfast. Obviously they are not ready to serve breakfast or lunch. Maybe dinner is better?

  • I am a local. I used to live across the street from the first version of this restaurant when it was on the Belmar Boardwalk, and went there many times for dinner or for a party. I was never disappointed. This was pre-Sandy. On 6/13/15, I took my 16 year old son to the new place on Main St. to celebrate his first day on his first job. The place was about half empty. The service was poor. I mean very poor. The wait staff seemed disorganized. Our server was nice enough, but the support staff were just confused. They doled out rolls one at a time from a large basket. If you wanted a second roll, you had to hunt them down with a request. The iced tea was served without a lot of ice, and it was luke warm. When I asked for a little more ice, I might as well asked for the secret of life. After a wait, they give me a big pastry bowl filled with ice. I just laughed, thinking the bus person was inexperienced. We split an above- average appetizer, but it was very expensive (about $30). My son ordered steak. I ordered shrimp. Never got the meal. We sat there for nearly 50 minutes watching other plates come out of the kitchen. Our server never came back to us. Finally, the young hostess (who was also running food) asked me if I was waiting for something. I told her we never received our order, and had been here nearly an hour. We had to leave soon. She sent the waiter over to our table for catch up visit. He told us that "to be honest, they ran out of the shrimp, but he could still bring the steak and have me order something else". I requested the check. They should have tried to make it right, one way or another. I understand that mistakes happen, but poor service is not a mistake. This is a very expensive place on the Jersey Shore, with the average entree logging in between $25 and $32. They kept us there so long, we couldn't even get to other places since it was now too late and they were closing. I will never go there again.
